Spare day ideas in Orlando

I am spending a bit of time thinking/planning my holiday in November.

I think we will have a spare day and thought we would try something we haven't done before.. I have mobility issues and my DMIL is elderly.

I am thinking about the following. Any comments/advice or suggestions, all greatly appreciated.

Trip to Celebration and have a wander around.

A boat trip around Orlando.

ICON Park.

TIA

I love Celebration. It’s lovely to go for a nice lunch there, a little walk by the lake and then a sit in a rocking chair at the lake taking in the atmosphere.

It’s such a picture perfect place

Nice to have a walk around the lake at Celebration, hire bikes if it isn't too hot and ride around some of the streets looking at some nice houses. Lunch at the Celebration Town Tavern and then an ice cream at Kilwins if you have room left. Lovely way to spend a day.

I would certainly recommend a trip to Crystal Rivers so swim with the Manatees. A once in a lifetime experience and is amazing to do, we went with this company who were fantastic: americanprodiving/manateesnorkeltours.php

Also whilst you are up there try Homosassa Springs state park: floridastateparks/pa...ife-state-park

Both well worth a visit.

We booked a tour that took us to both locations and provided transport up there. There are various pick up locations around Kissimmee and the 192 where you'll be driven via minibus (with snacks and drinks) to the Manatee tour, a diner for lunch then to the State park afterwards, then back to your chosen pick up location. We booked this through Debbies Villas and it was utterly brilliant. debbiesvillas

Drive up to Lake Dora, pick up the old train at Tavares that rides around the lake to Mt Dora, lovely relaxing day out, you can even buy a beer on board the train.
