Places to eat near Holiday Inn Resort, LBV

Hi
So in a positive step, I am starting to look at places we may want to eat for our trip.
Has anyone eaten at Applebees for breakfast or dinner and if so, what did you think?
Also, what about places within walking distance to hotel?
Happy to get a cab too, was thinking Cheesecake Factory.
Any ideas please?
We are staying part of holiday at Sapphire Falls, anyone eaten at hotel? Again any suggestions welcome.
TIA

Sue

Dragon House Chinese Buffet about 5 mins up the road. ( Walk past the Disney Springs entrance. ) Along that road there is also Steak houses, Lobster Houses, Subways, Flippers Pizza McDonalds etc. Crossroads is now shutting down, there was a huge choice there :-(

You can pretty much throw stones at Bahama Breeze from the hotel - it doesn't get much better than that 😀

We were planning this hotel for last year. Off the top of my head I think we were interested in applebees in the hotel which we have never tried, dunkin donuts, wawa garage, golden corral, BJ's Brewhouse, Landry's and Bahama Breeze. I believe the last three have decent happy hour offerings as well.

Been a while but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and VFM in Applebees when we went there.

As for Golden Corrall, horrible places. Cheap but not cheerful.

I haven't actually been to the Golden Corral at Lake Buena Vista. We had to cancel the Holiday Inn Resort for last year and decided on Bluetree LBV for this year, if we ever get there :-) However we have been to the Golden Corral on S.Kirkman Road by Universal and found it fine. People concerned about food handling in a communal buffet setting should certainly avoid it as they should avoid Chef Mickey's or Boma when operating as such. My daughter was very happy with the notion of ice cream for breakfast . I viewed it as the culinary equivalent of a day trip to Blackpool not what I'd pick for my wedding anniversary but fun in its way :-)

Stayed here two years ago, Applebee's was great, kids eat free for breakfast and lunch not sure if that's still the case. Plenty of fast food opposite and the hot dogs and pizza at the 7 Eleven next door were pretty good if you just wanted to eat fast after a day at the park.

I haven't had them in years but 7 Eleven always used to have good bakery case (loved the donuts) as a quick grab and go in the morning as well.

You're near a good number of places. Like others have said, Bahama Breeze and BJ's tops the list - real close, good food and great value. Within about 1 - 2km you also have a Millers Ale House, Carrabba's, Chili's, and El Patron for the best Mexican, amonst others. But by that distance you could also be at Disney Springs.
