Canada

So, we’ve finally confirmed our May 2002 trip to Canada, thanks for the hotel tips. Fly to Vancouver, 4 nights at the Georgian Court Hotel, then onto the Rocky Mountaineer from Vancouver to Banff then a coach to Calgary, 6 nights at the Delta Downtown.
Our stay in Calgary is sorted as my niece and her husband live there so will be our ‘tour guides’.
So, my question is what are the must dos in Vancouver?
Thanks

Nearly 20 years since we were there but Vancouver Island/Victoria, Buschart gardens, Stanley Park, Grouse Mountain, Campalino Suspension bridge, Gas town are what I remember off the top of my head.
We did the trip by car in reverse Calgary to Vancouver, the scenery was amazing. Enjoy!

Just checking into your thread to keep an eye on it, Canada is our back up plan if we can't get into the US in October (assuming we can get into Canada of course!)

Vancouver is lovely city but the real fun starts when you head North up the Sea to Sky highway.

Squamish and Whistler are amazing if you are outdoorsy.

The Hike up the Stawamus Chief in Squamish is a good day hike and there are more things to do in Whistler than you can shake a stick at.

We loved walking round Stanley Park, did a complete lap, stopping to watch the floatplanes coming and going. The Aquarium in the park is good too (if you like that sort of thing), DW fed the Sea Otters.
As others have mentioned, Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension Bridge are 2 big attractions. When we went there was free busses to get to both. The lumberjack show on Grouse Mountain was excellent
