Shanghai or not to Shanghai!
I’m seriously considering booking a trip to Asia in late March next year for 2 weeks.
I’m looking at using my Virgin points out to Hong Kong, then ANA back to London from Tokyo. For a 2 week trip do I squeeze in Shanghai? Flight prices at the moment from Shanghai to Tokyo are in the region of £500-£600 each which seems high for a 3hour flight which is the main factor putting me off. Is Shanghai worth the additional £1000 - £1500 to my trip at the moment. I see new areas coming which maybe good for another time! Decisions decisions! |

If you can, why not!
Also look at flights from Shanghai to Osaka and see if they do them / the cost - then call in and see Universal there |

thus was exactly what we found. the connecting flights were almost as much as our main. We couldnt justify it. If you can afford it then go for it, we certainly would.

Not sure how many virgin points you have but a look on the United site shows ANA reward seats available at end of March / start of April.
27 March/28/29/30/31/1 April/2 April all have 2 economy reward seats going, except 30th and 2nd that only have 1 reward seat currently in Economy |
