You’ll probably meet or see him sat around the swim up bar, most of them don’t move as far as the beach. I’m really jealous as I know what a fun time you will have. Hope things haven’t changed that much over the last few years, plus Rui hotels offer first class , friendly service wherever you are in the world.

I would go back in a heart beat. The only downside was the hotel beach wasn't that big but the pool area more than made up for it.

We got married in Montego Bay Sue, it definitely wasn't cheap even back then. We chose Jamaica for the romanticism. Dunn's River Falls, Rick's Cafe sunsets, bamboo rafting, Blue Mountain coffee and the rum, oh the rum! It's a beautiful Island and you won't be disappointed. Have an amazing time x

We haven't gone with Riu we are at Royalton, it was a hard choice tho.
We were originally going to Riu Palace in Costa Rica but sadly that's red. I should recognize him he'll be the one in an Armani suit and Gucci loafers. Or maybe not. This will amuse the ladies, he said he betted I was the type of person who flew in flowery tops and tights. Is that shorthand for something? I told him I didn't wear tights because of my flip flops. (I do have a lovely flowery top with pockets though. 😂 Perfect for flying). Edited at 01:16 PM. |

Sue, without doubt you will have a fantastic time, I was asked my opinion and I gave that from my experience but clearly I haven't been everywhere and for many people Jamaica is there favorite. Just like in Florida some peoples loves are others not so goods.
Enjoy your time with your family wear whatever flip flops you choose, some dress codes just go to far IMO. It's rediculous when you can't wear decent shorts in the evenings I think. Have fun |

You will have a fab time - so much to do & see on Jamaica, depending on your interests - and the beaches are lovely golden sand.
I don't regret going to any of the Caribbean islands that we've stayed on - all great experiences and all had their own positives (as well as some negatives). Warning you will be say "Yeah Mon" for a good fortnight after you are back home from Jamaica - best not mention that to your Canadian 'friend' We stayed in an apartment at Palmyra Resort near Rose Hall (a very strange experience at the time, as it was practically deserted as it had gone bankrupt the previous year) Now bought out and the development is finished I believe ? We did spent one night at the Rose Hall Hilton for the sake of our daughter as there were more activities going on for her there. One thing I would highly recommend is going to the old Rose Hall Great House for a ghost tour AT NIGHT - just brilliant !
