The challenge for the validity date is that you need to have three months post return. However as people going to Europe can stay for three months it is 3 months stay plus three months post return. Then when you add on the removal of "added days" - the govt guidance is still not to travel on a passport that is older than 9.5 years or 4.5 years if a child at the point you ENTER Europe
I know that in cases of doubt the passport checker on the .gov website is used by check in staff. Personally, given that, and you may meet a jobsworth it wouldn't be worth it to me. Hope you do manage to get away. There are some fabulous package holiday deals around. Edited at 07:20 PM. |
