DS' passport arrived back today - it took 16 days to come through which seems like quite a long time to me, but I've now done all of our ESTAs, so we're good to go!

I paid the balance a couple of weeks ago, just need to sort our travel insurance. Need to get that done by the weekend really as that's when we'd start to lose more than the deposit if we cancelled.

I asked DS last night if he could choose to go anywhere in the world where would he go. The response was "Florida, duh". He's going to be over the moon when he finds out! I've started doing his personalised calendar through Vistaprint. I've added all the special dates for the year and I just need to select some more good photos of him and DD to go with the months that I've not completed yet.

Less than 3 months to go now - CANNOT WAIT!

I'm trying to help my friend get organised with MDE etc. His Virgin Holidays app says his tickets wont be available til 15th Jan 2020. But by my calculations he should be able to book fastpasses from 17th December.

Anybody know how you get access to book fastpasses?

Is he linked in MDE? Mine is with my park tickets too. Weirdly the park tickets weren’t there at first but magically appeared on the same day I asked my friend at virgin for help. Total coincidence though as they appeared before she replied to me!

Hi

It wasn’t when I posted but it is now thanks.

Looks like the character dinner is in Epcot somewhere on the 21st. Anyone know where it is?

The calendar arrived today, I’m so pleased with it.

Here’s the important page that I hope DS has the patience to look at on Christmas Day. Hopefully the picture of him from a few years ago at WDW will catch his eye too!

ETA: the writing can’t be made out very well, but the entry for 15th Feb says “Go to Disney World”

The other key one is that I’ve added in his lightsaber building day on there too

Edited at 10:38 PM.

Am I right in thinking its fastpass booking tomorrow? I've looked at my pals MDE and his bloomin tickets have disappeared again.

I hope it resolves itself before tomorrow.

Sorry, I only just saw this. Did you manage to get some Fastpasses booked?

I’ve got some that I’m happy with and got a good mix of things all 4 of us can do and other things that DD will have to dip out on

Mobile Getting there...

Received our “itinerary” this evening. Made it super exciting and gives us something to print for DS on Christmas Day.

Here’s a sneak peek!

Managed to sort travel insurance (finally) yesterday. DD is being monitored for a possible heart issue so I purchased an annual policy to include coverage of her heart murmur and any other heart related ailments at £700! 😱

Then a colleague mentioned yesterday that travel insurance is on our flexible benefits scheme. I looked into it and it has the best coverage for pre-existing conditions/medical investigations that I’ve ever seen and I’ve now covered us for the princely sum of £7 per month - somewhat different! Obviously I then cancelled the other policy quick smart.

Mobile The secret is out!

Well, we managed to keep the secret of this trip right up until this morning.

DS opened his calendar and seemed a bit confused as he knew this was his main present.

We got him to look through the dates that we’d put in and this was his face when he read about going to Disney...

I did manage to get it on video, but his little sister was screaming her head off at the time so it’s not a pleasant listen 😂

He is over the moon, completely in disbelief and sooo excited. I can’t wait to finish planning the trip with his involvement now
