Disney Reach Agreement with Actors Union

News late yesterday that Disney have reached an agreement with US Equity which will allow their members to return to the parks. Apparently they have agreed to set up an onsite central testing centre to make this possible

This made my daughter's day yesterday. We live locally and are able to visit with reservations. The lack of shows has been very hard for her. She has many health issues including hearing problems. She has befriended some of the performers and many of the sign language interpreters and not being able to see them has been devastating for her. She was starting to worry that some shows might never reopen.

The performers will be thrilled to get back to work especially as many didn't even support the union's position.

It should mean that shows such as that should be able to start up again, subject to Social Distancing in the venues of course. All down to when Disney decides to take that step, but this agreement certainly gives them the option to reinstate those live shows which required the union members for the casts
