This is true, however the pot of availability for Disney Resort guests is different to those of AP and normal ticket holders, and theoretically it follows that at a busy time it should be easier to obtain availability as a resort guest.

I've got CBR booked next year at full rate. Loving the idea of the skyliner, but all the other benefits have gone. Its a quandary for sure!

The only tangible thing at the minute is DME obviously we are all expecting this to change but what back to? They need the numbers back so you could imagine more. As I've posted previously we debated when we booked, we had really wanted POFQ but at £2700 for 10 nights versus Sapphire Falls with upgraded room for £1400 we just couldn't justify the additional cost, we could Uber to Disney for all 10 days & still be better off!
Our current debate is passes, £450 for a 14 day Ultimate on current Hopping restrictions Most posts are stating that both HS & AK are currently half day parks but you can't go anywhere else IYKWIM, in an ideal world we would do a park + a half

I’m not going to stay onsite again unless the fastpass+ 60 day returns. I’m sure it will but not sure how long before it does. I personally wouldn’t be surprised if they announce the much rumoured paid fastpass when it does come back alongside the 50th anniversary. I have plans for either an onsite or offsite stay in 2022. I’m hoping for onsite with free ddp and all the perks being back but part of me thinks that's wishful thinking.

I’m much more swayed by the idea of one of the Universal hotels that offer express passes, especially now Volcano Bay is there. Hopefully Disney will up their game again next year and work hard to entice us back 😂🤞🏻

I wouldn't have said AK was a half day park, but it certainly is a candidate for a split day - morning start, leave to go for lunch somewhere and come back at night for pandora, Everest in the dark etc

I would agree HS is a half day park, but i've not been since TS Land and GE opened, so might be a bit better now

It's funny as our best visits have just been for a week doing the HRH very relaxing way of doing the parks and so convenient to walk in and out when you want - I think we are going to sack our Yacht club booking off and just do a week at HRH

Animal Kingdom closes at 5pm - there is no "after dark" as it stands.

Imagine paying the current ticket prices for those limited hours - ouch!

Alternatively: imagine how many attractions, including near-zero wait FoP, you can get done with such light crowds.

(I agree with you though - for us Disney after dark is magical)

We have only ever stayed onsite, we have never taken DME and never utilised EMH. We stay onsite as we don’t want to drive and for 60 day fastpasses.

On the assumption crowds will be low and fastpasses not necessary, we might have considered staying onsite because we like being onsite. But having looked at prices and what is available (hardly anything) we wouldn’t do it. If we go to Orlando next year, it will be Universal only.
