If the parks full then they wont let you in, even with an ADR.
Personally I wouldn't make any plans inside the park on the 4th or go near a park. I would have this down as a lazy day and avoid any public areas. Insanely busy.

Is there anywhere you can look at historical figures for entry on 4th July. I know MK gets to capacity on 4th but not sure about HS.
We're avoiding parks personally - going shopping during day, cirque du soleil early evening and then going for a meal in Disney Springs.

There are 4 different levels of closure, with ADDs you are good until after phase 3

Other guests may enter such as: Those with multi-day or multi-park tickets Those staying at a Disney Resort Annual Passholders Those re-entering the park that day. Those "hopping" from another park. Those with in-park reservations or appointments. Those arriving via Disney transportation The following are dates within the past 10 years when Walt Disney World parks have reached, yet not gone past, a Phase 1 capacity closure: Magic Kingdom: December 25, 26, and 29, 2014 Phase 2 Closure The only guests allowed through the turnstiles and into the parking lots are: Those staying at a Disney Resort Annual Passholders Those re-entering the park that day. This is great thank you so much. I'm loathed to stay at the villa on such an occasion and we're ready for a busy park so glad to know this info 😊😊😊

Our first trip in 2003 encompassed Thanksgiving. We watched the New York parade and interviews on the bar TV. I don't remember what we did that day, but I do know that we kept well clear of ANY park or shopping centre! There was one announcement that a woman got trampled at a branch of Walmart!
