Mobile Where to stay in Paris but on the line into Disney?

We are looking at going with two teens in August for 3 nights but one day at Disney. We would prefer to be more in Paris to see the sights, be in east reach of the hotel for getting ready and going out in the evening etc but will travel to Disney for one full day. Can anyone recommend anywhere? I was looking at Gare de Lyon area but have no idea if it's a nice place to stay and some say it's a bit far into Paris from there.

Ideally you want to stay somewhere close to a station with access to the RER A line. Personally i have found that hotels around the chalet les halles area of paris are quite central (next to the lourve and notre dame) and the chalet les halles RER line goes straight to Marne la vallee chessy (the entrance of the disneyland park). The train line from CDG airport also goes from the terminal to chalet les halles.

I would also recommend the same. Chatelet les Halles is the biggest underground metro station at least in Europe, meaning you'll find connections to every sight in Paris. On the other hand, as stubucky said, the RER A goes directly to Disneyland from this station, too. Plus, from the train station it's only a short walk to Notre Dame, the Louvre and the Seine. Couldn't be more suitable for your plans.

We're doing a split stay. Have opted on the outskirts though to keep costs down. Staying in the Kyriad at Torcy for 3 nights and will get the bus there from the airport for a couple of euros each. It's right by the RER A line, so will use that for a couple of day trips into Paris. We will then use the same line into DLP when we move there for the onsite part of our stay. Torcy is further out than you might like for city sightseeing right enough - we'll be quite happy with the added adventure lol.
