Mobile A night at Universal for express passes?

We’re staying offsite for a fortnight May/June. I can’t decide whether to book a night at Universal’s Royal Pacific Hotel so we can get express passes and early access to Harry Potter. I’ve checked the forecast crowd levels and ride wait times, and they don’t seem too bad compared to WDW parks. Also I’ve read that on some rides the queue is part of the attraction. The hotel night would be £250.

What do you think?

At that time of year is the sole purpose of the hotel stay is for FOLP then I wouldn't. July school holidays absolutely yes but for late May/June it should be manageable without.

We’ve booked a night at the Royal Pacific early July in a club room. It works out a lot cheaper than booking fast passes.

I am looking at doing the same our first week crowd levels are low the second week abit higher but we have been to Universal without passes before and not had a good experience plus OH hates standing in line so think I am just going to go for it.

Don't know how many of you will be staying but £250 is a good price to get 2 days passes.

Sorry for jumping on the thread, but hoping someone has the info to help. I'm also looking at doing this for August. Do you get the day of check in and the day of check out as express tickets or just one day. Also, how do you get the express tickets?

Stayed in aug 17, and yes we had express passes for check in and check out day.

we checked into hotel early morning, put our luggage with concierge, used a machine in the lobby to get our express passes. on check out day, we checked out and left our luggage with concierge, then went into the park for the day.

they also let you use pool, showers till late on check out day if you want to enjoy hotel facilities throughout the day.

really enjoyed our night there, got to ride the coasters in the dark, used early entry both days, 1 for park, and 1 for volcano bay, and the beds were heaven.

Yes you get both days. When you check in you get your passes. My understanding is you can go to the hotel early and although you won’t get your room until the afternoon you get the passes. So in effect you get the two full days. If you book a club room you can also go straight to the club area in the dedicated lift to get the free food and drink.

Your “understanding” is spot on ,check in as early as you like, most of us,do it around 6,45/7am,if room not ready, they mind your bags and off you go,if room is ready in your case,in club, you may be able to go for free breakfast also, but there again you may want to hit the parks,on checkout, simply put bags in your car or they mind them,of to park for ful day absolutely hammering fotl pas,you wil love it, bondy.
