Looks like I may have to wait another year then as I'm not ready to buy just yet. I'm also trying out a 1-bed in April (no studios available in the sale), I hope this doesn't mean I don't want to go back to a studio. I love SSR and when I was in DS in Dec I looked across at SSR and wished I'd been staying there.
Congrats to OP - hope it goes through smoothly for you Edited at 09:48 AM. |

If there's more than a couple of you (if you have kids) you'll probably not want to go back to a studio. But that's good, you just need more points.
There's 4 of us. I was staying in a 1 bed Bay Lake this summer, but my waitlist came through for a 2 bed standard view at Boardwalk. This baby sleeps 9. It's a lockoff so the kids will have their own wing. Same price as the Bay Lake 1 bed in points, hence why they are booked up to next December. We like space... |

We found out today that Disney have waived their right of first refusal 😊 no points until August but we are happy. Looking forward to lots of DVC planning and stays 😊

Yay welcome home 😀. We have 200 points at Boardwalk for 3 of us and we have just done studio stays for the last 2 years during August. Prior waited 18months and did a1bed. We've managed to also squeeze in a couple of nights in a Savannah view 1 bed at Animal Kingdom and 1 bed lake view at BLT. It's great to try new places. Vero Beach is also lovely for a relaxing few days away from the parks.
We are now taking a break and waiting to return in early July 2019 so already thinking about which resorts to aim for as will have nearly 2 years worth of points to play with 😀.

Aww that’s very exciting! Waiting for ROFR is the worst bit, now the planning can start 😄

Thanks all 😊
Dippiedawnie - really like the idea of mixing up the trips a bit, very exciting 😊 YorkshireT - very tempted to get the 25 point add on direct. Need to do a bit more thinking and research 😊 We are offsite in a Westhaven villa in April this year so our first use of DVC points will be 2019. Lots of planning ahead! |
