I never did a tour, bought resale as I knew I wanted BWV after having a look around the place, and doing a lot of internet research. I didn't even go into the showroom there, I never spoke to DVC in any way before I bought resale.

For me, the savings with resale made it a done deal, though when I bought you were all treated as one.

We did the tour and bought in March - it took around 3hrs including travel to Disney Springs and on to TTC for the Magic Kingdom. They gave us the gift card, Mickey rice krispie treats and our salesman got us an extra DVC bag out since two women buying couldn't be asked to share

We did get 3 fast passes, but it turned into about 8 or 9 as the fast pass system went wonky and wasn't deducting them as we used them! It started eventually though. This was on the last day of our trip so it made for a good send-off..

We did a lot of research before we went and I got a phone call from DVC before our trip so I booked our appt before we went for one of our “rest” days.

We were also there about 2 hours as I had lots of questions and we wouldn’t sign on the day. We looked at the mock up rooms and also he took us to look at the 2 beds at SSR as I wanted to see a larger unit. We called the guy back two days later after we had looked at the resorts on our own and bought BLT even though I had been sure I wanted to buy AKL before we went!

We had ice cream and 4 FP but this was in 2010.
