Grand Floridian vs BLT (Studio Room)

I couldn't get BLT Theme Park View at my 7 month window today, in fact couldn't get any studio room at BLT.

So I have booked Grand Floridian Studio Standard View but was wondering if anyone had stayed at both resorts had you any preference between them or tips especially for getting back to GF after fireworks at Magic Kingdom?

I haven't stayed in either in a studio as I don't stay in studios at the moment with a family, but the studio at GFV is superior to the studio at BLT- BLT studios are some of the worst on property in my view as they are so small. Ironically BLT 1 beds are some of the best on property. If you go on Youtube there are loads of walkthroughs at both.
Getting back to GF- monorail. There is no way to walk around the lagoon, unless you traipsed on the road.

There is boat transportation between GF and MK.

The studios are better at GFV but they have very little storage. Although BLT studios are small they have loads of storage so everything can be put away.

I have never stayed at either. However to me BLT is iconic and I would stay there in a heartbeat. I love eating at GF but staying there, mmm sorry it doesn't appeal.

We are very minimalistic tidy people and storage is so important to us. Thus I am in the same camp as Caron.

We’ve stayed in both and while BLT is he our favourite I’d still be happy to stay at VGF

I had been slightly disappointed at first at not getting the dates I wanted at BLT but as I had wanted to try out the GF at some point, it might as well be now.

Just wondering at check in do we go to the GF or is there a different area to check in for VGF?

I've stayed in both and GF is my favourite, the rooms are stunning and I love the double bathroom that has the walk in shower as well as the normal shower in the bath tub. Although I would say the studios at BLT feel bigger and I love the separate kitchen at BLT.

I don't think you will be disappointed with GF, the pool area is really nice too. x
