When we were moved last week BRV wasn't an option but doing a dummy booking for the week, the only things coming up above Moderate are all 1 beds or club level. I know that along the line they will blame an IT failure but the IT is only as good as the person inputting the info
It will be interesting to see if SSR get's offered for 2019- I actually need 2 weeks, paid, as DS is coming out although he has said that he would be happy with the Poly !

Some friends of my daughter though went last summer and when I warned them, they said they were happy as they'd been given a $2k gift card. So I suppose their accommodation was not far off free. But the Americans are being offered $75 a day.
I just cant understand how such an overbooking error occurred with no unexpected room inventory changes. Given they wait many months before confirming, it isn't rocket science.
Suspect heads or a head will be rolling for this, every change to Beach Club etc will be costing them a four figure sum in lost cash revenue.
I even saw yesterday they've started putting some in Boulder Ridge Villas- looks like they are running out of space.
YT, I wonder why once they realised they had an issue, they didn’t decline the bookings they hadn’t confirmed? or have they never done that?

Like YT I can see heads rolling as well.

They had no problem chopping 3 executives including Jim Lewis when they got the Aulani contracts and thus future annual dues wrong.
No organsiation likes to see money being lost.

Loulou there were posts back in Oct that they were "chopping" SSR bookings for anyone that hadn't booked through WDTC, so we felt fairly safe & of course once we were confirmed you then don't expect any issues. This only seems to be affecting cash inventory though, as I had the members page open whilst discussing my move & I could "get" studios in both categories for my dates.

Yes they declined a lot this time, not Disney bookings. This has come later.

Our booking was a one bed villa at SSR.
Was moved to a one bed villa at Beach Club. We rang and requested two rooms in the BC hotel as my personal circumstances changed slightly. They got back to us and this was agreed to. Just for info re your comments 😀

I’m here now and asked about seeing a refurbed room to be told no refurbishment until 2019 at the earliest. Don’t see much evidence of work going on at the moment either.

They announced at the member's meeting that refurbs would start 2019, with some mock up rooms being built this year for feed back. In terms of outdoor refurb, they were doing High Rocks pool area I think in Feb but probably finished now.

I should take my tools and make a start.

I already keep a pozidrive screwdriver in my Owners Locker to fix all the darn handles on the unit so I suppose I could install a new pull down bed whilst I'm at it!
