Tinned Loganberries

I always used to love these as a child and my mum would buy them as a treat every so often.
But I don't remember having any since the late 1970's !

Have looked in Tesco, Sainsburys and Morrisons but can't find any

Does anyone else remember them and know if they are available anywhere anymore ?

Thanks

OP. I can't remember but my Wife advises me we used to buy them when we were just married so that would be 1983.

What a blast from the past tinned fruit is though, how times have changed.

In 1967 aged 12 I worked in Victor Value (Tesco bought them out) every Saturday and was responsible for the main aisle. I clearly remember half of it was tinned fruit and I physically couldn't keep it topped up due to so much being sold.

I also remember the huge tins (they dont make them anymore) were 2/3d.

I think lingonberries are different. They look more like redcurrants while loganberries are a cross between a blackberry and a raspberry.

I can’t find a whiff of the tins anywhere, but you can buy the bushes. I might grow some this year.

In the back of my mind I have a vague idea that loganberries are like a cross between blackberries and raspberries.

I loved tinned fruit salad but we all fought for the single piece of cherry in each tin !

Served with Carnation milk.
