I want to go now!
|
Hey guys,
Just thought I would let you know how I got on in Orlando. I am 5'8 and a size 20-22 on the bottom and a chest size of 38 K. I had no issues on any rides in Disney I fit on everything I tried. In universal I couldn't go on forbidden journey, the overhead restraints just wouldn't close over my chest I tried the test seats outside and a cm helped. But I could still walk the castle tour and just exit before the ride. I also tried the test seat outside gringotts with a cm, It wouldn't close on me but they are the smallest fitting seats so what he did was check with the second seat how much more room I would need to get the green light and said I would be fine in the bigger seats in row 3 and 6. I rode the ride with no issues in the bigger seat. I hope that helps someone Hope this |

I know the thread title says "Disney for the larger person" but has anyone got any info about Busch Gardens ? All the rides at BG look like coasters with 'over the shoulders' type restraints (which I never fit into very well). Is that correct ?

I have struggled manly with the flight, being really uncomfortable having a large bottom. So I am on a mission to loose weight using my 2018 weight challenge with Facebook buddies.

Excited about Disney
|
That's now my target for next August then. Thank you. I've never had a trouble with Disney but want to ride everything at Universal so I have a lot of work to do!

So nervous
So we arrived in Orlando yesterday. Today we're doing Universal IoA. I am absolutely terrified and feel sick. First ride the group wants to do is Hulk? Will I fit on this, or anything in that park? I am a size 22/24 on top but 24/26 on the bottom. I carry my weight on my tummy, hips and huge legs. Will the modified seats accommodate me or am I too fat for those too? Which rows/seats are the modified ones, and how do you get to them discreetly?

I am a size 22 and always fitted on everything. I didn't even know there was certain bitter seats until I came home and read about them so you are definitely guided tour them discreetly. Have a great day and try noto to worry. All my weight is bump, hips and theighs and I was fine.

I'm panicking that I won't be able to fit on the following rides!
I'm a size 18/20 curvey with a tummy! I'm only 5ft 5 and quite petite up top so wondered if anyone could share any recent experiences? I'm aware that there are test seats but are you made to feel embarrassed for trying these out? Forbidden Journey Gringotts Flight of passage Thanks |

I'm slightly bigger than you and got on the Harry Potter rides. I didn't try the test seats but read they're a bit smaller anyway. I just asked at ride loading to be directed to bigger seats.
There's a you tube video on seat size for fop by a larger American lady showing how to position yourself. She was fine and I would say bigger than a 18/20. It sounds like you'll be fine. I was quite worried but when you're there it doesn't seem a big deal. The staff are so discreet and used to it and there are a lot larger theme park goers than in the uk. Try not to worry and just enjoy your holiday. |
