I can show you the world - shining, shimmering, splendid! July/August 2014 Honeymoon - Highs & Lows
Highs and Lows
Thought I would just summarise our highs and lows for you all! With a few extra pictures... Highs Resort – we love POFQ, small but perfectly formed with a great food court and wonderful atmosphere. Shopping – we loved being able to buy so much Disney merchandise, and also the bargains at the outlet. Fireworks – something we don’t really enjoy much at home as we usually have a quivering dog at our feet! All the night time shows were spectacular. Parks – there was just so much to do! We sometimes feel like we run out of things to do on holiday, but we didn’t have this feeling at all. Weather (sun) – we both loved the sunshine, and I am that annoying person who is permanently cold – so the Florida weather was perfect for me! Fastpasses – having ride times booked in advance at Disney parks made a massive difference, we really noticed it when we did have to queue. Customer Service - everyone we met wanted to help and was super friendly, especially CMs. Coming home – we were both keen to see Fudge (we had really missed him), and were looking forward to giving him (and our families) their presents. Lows Crowds – as I am a teacher we are stuck to school holidays, and it was busy! There were also large and rowdy tour groups at Magic Kingdom and Epcot, who did their best to get in the way at every opportunity. Weather (rain) – when it rained, it poured! I was prepared for rain but not quite at the force at which it fell. The plastic ponchos I had taken came in very useful. Inconsiderateness of other people – the large tour groups, and a few very inconsiderate people thinking they owned the place. We’ve all paid a lot to be there, so share the magic, don’t ruin it! Coming home – mousekeeping and the QSDP had spoilt me, and it was back to being the mousekeeper myself! Overall, we had an amazing trip – and if we can, we’ll return. Hopefully see ya real soon! |

Really enjoyed reading the rest of your report, particularly all the references to and pics of POFQ. What a magical choice for a honeymoon.
Not sure what I am looking forward to least; the heat or the torrential rain! I am more of an autumn/spring kind of girl😊 |
