Again Benny is referring to someone called Yorkshire on Twitter who has something to do with aviation- not me! Benny I think the Yorkshire fella is just copying the Alex tweets from what I can see. I'd ignore him.

Yes true... but those companies sold products not holidays.. so I feel this situation with TC is actually worse...as its going to cause heartbreak and upset stress and worry for many people, not just holidaymakers but TC staff etc.. I cam remember the old tagline from Thomas Cook adverts... Don't Just Book It... Thomas Cook It...

Fair point, but carillion made hospitals and schools so arguably a bigger impact on the UK than a few holidays that won't happen

Ahh apologies I didn't know who Carillon were.. sad when any big company goes bust.. i certainly miss Woolies in our high street..

Apparently the pilot refused to take off as he could not be assured that if TC folded that he and his crew could get back to the UK. This is what I read on Facebook so not sure how true it is but the flight has definately been delayed by over 20 hours.

Somebody before asked for the flight number that is en route from Malaysia to Manchester - MAS8490 it says on twitter (no idea how credible this is) something to do with rescue operations? I have no idea what that means
