Volcano Bay Cabanas
Hola,
Anyone used a Volcano Bay Cabana recently ( well pre apocalypse)? Specifically one of the family units? Quite hard to track down any info apart from give us a call. Don't want to actually book until we know we are going ( mid October) Any thoughts? Price dependent on season or just a tombola? Do the family units face the volcano? Is there a locker if everyone is in the water? TIA, |

We had one of the larger family cabanas in August 2018. There are only 2 of the larger family cabanas in the park. The price does vary depending on the time of year, it does vary quite a lot.
Yes there is a locker within the cabana. |

We had an upper level family unit one last year (4 September) and paid $372 according to my spreadsheet.
You get a locker which you open with your tapu tapu. You also get a fridge with loads of bottled water and a fruit basket with pastries when you arrive. You get your own towels and a personal concierge (but they were quite slow with orders, we waited nearly an hour for our lunch to be delivered!). Oh and you can also do the virtual queue for the rides from the cabana so you don’t have to walk to the ride itself. Ours was quite far from the volcano so nice and quiet but you can get them closer if you want a specific location. It was lovely to have a base to store stuff and chill and being upper deck meant it was nice and cool especially during the midday heat. Prices can be a bit bonkers during peak but start to fall towards end of August/early September. |

We really enjoyed having it. My younger son needs to take plenty of breaks from the sun as he is so pale skinned and it was a great base to relax. The cabana attendant came by regularly to see if we needed anything and took our order for lunch which was then brought directly to the cabana. we were able to tap into ride queues directly in the cabana as well.
It was expensive, but I’d happily book it again |

Thanks for the replies.
I have booked one of the family units. Was only 4 days left free in October for them. |

We booked one on the day when we went in Sept - we got to the park about noon & the price we paid was cheaper than what we had been quoted when we enquired a few days prior earlier in the morning - so I guess it was maybe cheaper as they just wanted someone to book it? I cant remember how much it was as we split it between the 3 families in our party, but it was worth every penny & would book again, especially when we had a wee hour or so storm. we just sat in the Cabana eating the fruit & pastries & our own lunch we took & enjoyed the view of the volcano
