What to wear in Florida when you're fat

So, 6 weeks till Florida and ive lost about 3 pounds since January yay.

Feeling utterly miserable and dreading going to be honest.

I know being overweight shouldnt be the be all and end all of my holiday but it will have a major effect on how much i enjoy my time there. Im going to feel huge, sweaty and my clothes are going to feel too tight and i'll be self conscious the whole time. i will hate my holiday photos

Im going to need to go out and buy new clothes for the trip, does anyone have any suggestions? i want to look nice but i dont think thats going to happen now.

Thanks

Well first thing is to protect against chub rub. I have the Snag chub rub shorts which are fabulous (as are the tights). They will also protect your modesty if you go for dresses.

Depends what you call fat. I am currently a size 20. I would be tempted to wear floaty shorts or3/4 length and loose floaty tops.

Last time I went I was a 16/18 and wore shorts. I have never worn shorts out in my life but felt comfortable enough to wear them

Whatever you wear you will be fine, there will be so many larger people there.

How tight are your clothes?
If they’re just uncomfortably snug then you can easily get back intto them in 6 weeks.
If not then you can grab lots of things in the sales
Jersey dresses are nice and light. I wore those this trip more than shorts because it was just so hot!

Check out Jillian Michaels 30 day shred!

Hi I always wear 3/4 cargo pants and a nice T shirt. Not sure if you would call this looking nice but I'm always comfortable.

I was a 22 last time we went.

I wore lightweight short sleeve cotton blouses and 3/4 length Linen trousers and sketchers memory foam trainers... Pale shirts and bright coloured trousers - bright coloured because looking back on holiday pics I always wore navy bottoms, pale tops and looked a bit miserable, a bit like I was just off down the shops... this time I looked bright and holidayish!

Not clothes but for chub rub I bought liquid talc from the baby section of Asda little angels and it worked a treat. Depends on what you think is fat some people are a size 10 put on a few pounds and feel enormous. In my younger years I was always a 12 and have always felt fat I’m now a 14 bottom 16 top but don’t feel any fatter (I know I am) than I did then although I am trying to lose again. People wear whatever is comfortable I saw a lot of larger girls wearing floaty tops with leggings to the knees but plenty wearing shorts and T-shirt’s and also summer shift dresses.

Not sure if you are interested at this stage in trying to lose weight or not but just wanted to pop on to say I did weight watchers before this trip. I’ve just looked back at my stats and over 6 weeks I lost 20lbs... I had a lot to lose so I guess some people may not lose that much in a short space of time but in 6 weeks I’m sure you could fit back into some of your older clothes.

If not definitely chin rub shorts (I found them from the shop yours to be good), and maybe thin three quarter leggings and long T-shirt’s?
