Mobile SkyScanner - flights with no luggage allowance

Hi, hope everyone’s having a fab New Year’s Eve so far 🤗

Me, I’m still trying to find flights for our dates next July (1st to 15th) from Manchester (we lost our original flights with TC)

So there are some good prices direct but all with no luggage allowance. I can’t seem to find any with checked baggage included. Don’t know if I am doing something wrong or if that’s how they all are? Has anyone booked like this and then added luggage later and if so how much is it ? Think I saw something about it being £45 each bag and I assume that’s per leg so would be around an extra £360 return for 4 people ? Which would still make it a reasonable price but just not sure if it’s possible ?

Hey I noticed when I was pricing that none of the flights had luggage but as soon as I clicked thru as if I was going to book it gave me the option to add luggage, I think it was around an extra £65 - £70 per person for a bag. It is very annoying thou, kept seeing great prices and then realised it didn't include luggage.

Sorry I edited to add that when i priced flight and car package thru British Airways it included luggage and we got a great price.

Edited at 08:59 PM.

Just wish there was a way to filter out the ones with no luggage allowance 😩. Have looked at BA but most are to change in London which would be fine but you have to get from Heathrow to Gatwick and I just CBA 😂

I didn't even bother looking at skyscanner for flights for next hols. Just so annoying the way it is set up now. You also have to pay for seat selection with most airlines.

Ironically, this situation is largely the result of consumers using comparison sites like Skyscanner so much...

Add £100 a seat is more realistic.

So basically ignore completely the results on skyscanner unless I am taking hand luggage only 😂😂

I use Skyscanner to find the cheapest dates / routes and then look on that airlines website for the different price options.

Personally we decided to go with the cheaper option and take hand luggage and we managed fine but you can add a single bag rather than upgrading everyone. Usually around £45-65 a bag.

I priced some Virgin flights for my son and when I then went to add luggage it was £100 per way each bag, so it added £400 onto the advertised cost of the flights!

The only flights which seemed to include luggage was Aer Lingus.
