Fathers Day!

Just ordered dh a rather expensive Castelli cycling jersey as his is looking a bit old. It’s from his 3 kids, his nearly dil and the dog. I have to now get the money off them, dh has to get his dad some whisky and ales. My dad is deceased so no presents there!
What are you getting for husbands, dads, partners?
Dh doesn’t really get excited over much so I’m hoping this year he might!

I don`t get my husband anything for Father`s Day as he`s not my father! Mind you he started it... when I asked what he was getting me for Mothers Day years ago he said nothing as you`re not my mother. So what's sauce for the goose and all that!

Well I don’t have a father anymore and the present is from the kids, I just helped to pick it!

My dh never wants much, we noticed him looking at cycling tops on Ebay, how sad!
We got him a good one from Wiggle
You have the right idea MH

I am (quietly) expecting some kind of gin based present from my offspring. Fathers day is a bitter-sweet experience now for me as My dad left us two days after Fathers Day, 5 years ago. I was so glad I decided last minute to visit him for Fathers day that year.

Sandra, I think its very good of you 'organising' your husbands Fathers day present as he will get something useful and something he clearly wants... I have no idea whatsoever why my offspring get me gin though...

This is only my second Father’s Day without my Dad so will be trying to be brave. The girls sort their own present and cards for their Dad, at almost 18 and 16 it’s their job. It’s my birthday too so we will have a lovely day I’m sure.

He usually gets Maltesers, ales and a cycling book. I thought maybe something a bit better this year. He will probably send It back, he’s so fussy. My dad died over 30 years ago when I was 25 so I’m not as sad as I once was. It’s sad once parents have left us and we are reminded on special days.

My father passed away 16 years ago and hubby's dad passed before he and I met. I've ordered DH some t-shirts from our boys as a joke and prompted them to get him a card each. Whether he gets breakfast in bed will depend if I'm out in the night ( on call Saturday) cos nobody will wake in time to make it for him if I sleep in
