Mobile Which park NYE

Just wondering which park for NYE. There will be me, DH, DD(17) & DS(8). We are staying at the Swan so we will be in boardwalk area for fireworks but not sure what park to go to for the day. Am thinking Animal Kingdom. I did have BOG booked for lunch but I know DH is slow to get going of a morning and I hear that parks can close to capacity so worried we wouldn't get there early enough.

Which parks do people recommend for the day

Epcot! Get in early 9 am and make adrs! It will be packed but well worth the new year celebrations from around the world!
You will have to pick one and stay all day as they fill to capacity early and if you leave u wont get back in!

We've decided to skip parks on NYE as they will be rammed. We haven't figured out the day, but we will tour the bars and street food in Disney Springs into the evening. We'd intended to do a park, but the only one that made sense was Epcot and that's our least favourite park. If you like Epcot, then it's the one where the crowds matter least, so go for it.

Just read Libby's trippie in the food trippie section and she covered NYE at Epcot if you wanted to take a gander. Would love to be there at that time of year!

Epcot.

We were there NYE 2012. We got there for when the park opened. We were very close to leaving at lunchtime as it was so busy but we stuck it out and so glad we did. We had a great time at some outdoor DJ sets at Italy and China.

Took us 3 hours to get out of the car park though.

Many years ago i attempted magic kingdom on nye, it was crazy busy. Just walking round the park was a queue. We had planned to stay all day but the crowds were unbearable. They had ropped off sections with crew marshalling you which was to walk, so we left early afternoon and went back to our hotel. We had been there for xmas day as well and we had gone to epcot, yes it was busy but i think because its more spaced out it didnt feel too bad at all. Id absoloutly agree with others saying epcot or animal kingdom. Where ever you decide though there is something special about seeing in the new year with some disney magic, have a good one x

Epcot! Hands down the best NYE I've ever experienced. We had reservations at Alfredo's (now Tutto Italia) and celebrated Italian and British NY when we were there and then at midnight with the Americans. It was genuinely fantastic. One of the best nights of my life.

Try Animal Kingdom.

We went last year and around mid afternoon the park was so quiet, it was weird.

They open AK later and although it was dark the park itself was lovely to walk around and no hustle and bustle.

Our plan all along was to go to Epcot but we saw it was just too busy and disn't fancy it.

We did Epcot last New Years Eve which was amazing and as is one of the bigger footprint parks it did not feel too busy... we stayed clear of MK to avoid that feeling.

There were signs up by 10 saying MK car parks were closed so closures can occur early. We went into Epcot at around 10.30 with no issues.
