Booking online couple of Q's

I'm thinking of trying to find availability for a last minute trip in November. Nothing available.
I'm wondering where to find the best availability, by phone, online?
About 10am this morning I could have patched together 8 days, by this afternoon just a day here and there.
So I'm wondering if anyone has any insight?

I am answering my own question here!
After weeks of trying to get accommodation for the 5 - 17 November I have given up. I had 5 nights booked and wait listed the other days at SSR. Nothing came up so have cancelled.
The nights I cancelled immediately became available on the resort availability tool. So the system can't be more live than that!

Sorry you haven't been able to put the trip together that you wanted.

From September to after the marathon in January is really difficult these days if you want to be spontaneous.

DVC is not a suitable product for spontaneous trips. Only buy DVC if you intend to travel to a DVC resort, at least every other year, and can book at least 7 months out. Otherwise, spend your money elsewhere. Not aimed at OP as OP may have tried this as a one off, but info for any prospective DVC buyers. If you don't pass this basic requirement don't bother.

Yes I agree! We have used our DVC for up to three trips every year for the last 10 years however we do tend to plan at least 7 months out. As a whole we absolutely love our DVC.

Yes I suspected you were a veteran and this was a one off attempt. Unfortunately many buy without proper research and complain when they can't book 8 weeks out. Tends to be Americans rather than Brits though for obvious reasons... I also love DVC.
