Has anyone been the last week in August ?

Hi All

Looks like the only time we can go next year is going to be the last week in August and i am worried that it is going to be rammed...
We can go the last two weeks but the last week is a bit cheaper so hoping that was an indication it might be a bit quieter
Anyone any experience of that week ?
Thanks

We've been a couple of times and it really wasn't that bad. All the American kids go back to school early August so the lines were ok.

DLP forum.

I've been the last week in August and it was very busy. The busiest I've ever seen DLP outside of the 25th anniversary in April this year and the weekend before Christmas.

By all accounts it was rammed this year.

If you are restricted to school holidays I know lots of Dibbers recommend May half term (but watch out for French and Spanish holidays).

We were at DLP 5-8 Sep and it was much busier than I expected as the Spanish schools were still off.

We were there last year 24th august for 4 nights and it was quite. We have to go school holidays and didn't find it bad at all! I would go at this time again no problems!

If you can avoid the last week of August we found Christmas crowds were better.

I love this time of year! Parks open late & its lovely & warm! Been twice arriving about 25th & it was fairly quitet. Make sure you go mon-fri avoid the weekends if you can. We're going 26th Aug next year for 4 nights.

We were there at the same time! I thought it was quiet too, going next year at the same time!

Thanks everyone...
Some mixed reviews ,
We have been in May holidays and that was fab , Christmas day that wasn't too bad but non of the other school holidays , always try and do wed ,thu ,fri ,home sat and that seems to work well
We are going on a fishing trip and are tagging this on the end so need about 2 weeks so can only be last two weeks of Aug (DLP last week ) or two weeks Easter hols which i have also heard bad things about , and having just got back from WDW Aug will give us longer to save...
Thanks again everyone
