New York for Easter
Hi folks, went to Orlando last June for my 40th and this year it's my wife's 40th and also 15th wedding anniversary so thought we'd book New York as I proposed to her at the top of the Empire State Building in 2000 so is a special place for us. This time though we have an 11 year old daughter and 8 year old son in tow so will be a different experience plus I bet a lot has changed in the years we have been away.
Booked 4 nights (13th-17th April) at the Sheraton Times Square which will suit us as going for location mainly and hardly ever be in the room to be fair. Just asking really what kinds of things do you need to book up in advance? Want to do the ESB and also new World Trade Center. Went up the previous one in 2000 so will be a bit strange. Thinking of doing some tourist busses also for the kids. Flying Manchester to JFK and last time we just jumped on the train to Manhattan as cheaper and faster than a cab. Really excited and not sure if to tell the kids or keep it as a surprise but my idea is to show them loads of movies based in New York then visit some of the scenes when we are there. They love Home Alone 2 so Central Park is a must. I also presume our ETSA's are valid and don't need to re-issue or anything? Only got them May 2016. Any tips most welcome. Edited at 11:44 AM. |
