All three?

Are we mad maybe considering doing all three parks in one bucket list trip?
If not my preference is Shanghai and Tokyo based on reports by Geoffa, as well as the Tron ride and Pirate ride in Shanghai. Then we could maybe do some other cultural bits as well.
Fro those that have been to some or all three what are your thoughts on this, are we mad.

I'd be interested to know this too. Tokyo is top of the list followed by Shanghai so i'm thinking it would make sense to visit both in one holiday - I would like to do hong kong too but I think that would make the trip too expensive for us having had a bit of a look at flights.

I did look into this when planning my trip for this summer, but decided against it for two reasons - one as the flights were just too expensive to do all three, and secondly I wanted to do more of Japan. As we are flying so far, I wanted to explore more of Japan than just Disney. So my focus is on Japan, but as the flights are going via Hong Kong I thought I stop-over on the way back in HK would be good.

I think if you just are after Disney Parks and you can get the flights at a reasonable price then go for it in one trip, but if you are wanting to explore more of Japan and/or China then reduce it to one or two.

I will be planning a trip to China at some point in the future to go to Shanghai so that we can tick that park of the list, but it will be part of a bigger trip.

i looked into this and dismissed the idea, mainly due to the following:

- I wanted to visit more of japan, I just wouldn't have had the time to do the parks and the locations AND then elsewhere justice
- I fancied visiting Singapore and this fit nicely with HongKong (cheap flights)
- park overload - I wanted to remember the parks and what made them unique. I felt that trying to do all three in one good they would all "mash" together in my memories.
- Flight prices - I couldn't get the flights I wanted to align and not be stupidly expensive.

Thank you for the insight. We do want to see more of China the most I think so that is something we will have to factor in.
I think we will have to research a bit more.

I'm liking your thinking. Want to do HK and Shanghai but realise it can't all be in one trip as we really want to explore Japan. I just love their culture. Was in the Japan Centre (just off Piccadilly Circus) this afternoon. There is a Japanese bookshop just around the corner at 24-25 Denman St, Soho, London W1D 7HU. They sell the most amazing stuff.

just got back this morning from doing all three parks.

We also visited Leshan (biggest stone Buddha) and Chengdu to hold a panda at the research base and had 2 extra days in Tokyo for the snow monkeys and Matsumoto castle.

We have previously spent over 2 weeks touring China and 17 days touring Japan so Disney was our main priority for this trip (total 15 nights)

We got back last weekend from doing all 3 parks over Easter, the trip was purely to do the 3 parks though. It was our first trips to Hong Kong and Shanghai and our 2nd to Tokyo.
Really enjoyed Hong Kong, on a Sat & Sun over Easter no waits for anything a really relaxed park plus they still have the Paint the Night parade, and Push Shanghai loved Pirates imo the best attraction anywhere, enjoyed the Tron theming but thought the actual ride was a bit of a letdown. Enjoyed the park but hated the park experience, the other guests were the rudest I've ever experienced in a theme park and we did witness some of the not so good comments out there on the internet, including 1 parent pulling her 5/6 year olds pants down and getting them to pee in a bottle in the queue in Pirates. Glad we went but in no rush whatsoever to go back (I know others have had a completely different experience here)
Tokyo Disney, second time I wondered if it was really as good as I remembered... it was, hands down the best Disney Parks in the World imo (for non Disney owned parks lol) the Japanese were a breath of fresh air after Shanghai and everywhere was immaculate, the place really is a shining example of how a Disney Park should be in every way.
Will definitely be going East again but only to Hong Kong and Tokyo
Just California and WDW in Sept to complete all Disney Parks in 2017

I thought the same about Tokyo Disney, I even thought it was more well kept and the staff were miles ahead in terms of service than Florida.

I even liked the old Fast Pass system!
