Our flights for next October from Glasgow have just been changed to airtanker.

How can you tell beforehand which airtanker plane it is?

sean the brilliant crew member outbound said it was a banker that they would renew the AT1 lease.

he also said the reason the ATs don't have premium is the positioning of the avionics.

he said their own planes were always designed as commercial flights so most of the avionics were positioned under the cockpit galley area at the front of the plane during refit/manufacture. where as the ATs avionics are overhead behind the cockpit and this comes too far into the cabin to allow the full 8 rows of PE - so therefore not possible.

we went out on one of their own planes with PE - PE looked great - some seats even had extending leg rests so practically lie down. Coming back the was the AT2 and the streaming IFE was OFF (overheating issue they are working to fix). And both flights were excellent.

We were in row 38 both flights (where the plane narrows to 2-3-2) and the feeling of space and leg room was excellent. (just an fyi - chose 39 on their own plane as their is a slight mis match with the tray table and ife screen on 38 where it immediately changes from 4 to 3).

have some photos of anyone wants them

We are flying out from Manchester at the end of may on the airtanker. Apparently there are 2 airtankers. The one without premium economy has no seat back tv's.

Great news. That's what I had read previously. There is hope for us yet then. We may have seat back tv's then. I guess we'll have to wait and see

If you look at 31st May and do a dummy booking then you will see that there are four seats at the centre of front row of the Airtanker leased A330 this A330 has seatback IFE. If there are three seats then it is the AT Leased A330 with streaming/overhead IFE

Look at these

thomascookairlines/e...200_G-VYGK.pdf
This one has seatback entertainment

thomascookairlines/e..._20th_2016.pdf
This one has streaming/overhead entertainment

Note the difference in front row seating.
