Last week with muppets closed and rick and roller down for the day the fadtpass queues were ridiculous. People transferred their fp to toy story mania and tower of terror ... so it's not just about reducing the number of rides it then depends on if stuff breaks down.

I'd heard the idea was that they were thinking of using the money on something that would be more appealing to guests. I'm guessing this new theatre didn't get as much interest as other announcements made.

Of course, the other thought is that Disney just wants to save some money. It's not like Magic Kingdom needs to attract more people - although a large theatre would've swallowed up large numbers of guests and might have helped with the crowds.

Assuming it has been cancelled, I suspect we'll never know the real reason. It'll all be rumour and conjecture. It is surprising though considering they officially announced it and even started work on it.

Haha! My son got into this programme big time every time we went to the USA, then we were able to watch it on Sky for a few years. Last year for Christmas I managed to find him the first 4 seasons on DVD, and he has t-shirts I got him from MGM Studios years ago too!

Perhaps it's just been delayed. Don't lose hope quite yet!

I liked the idea of them expanding main street but I feel the placement of it (just behind main street itself) would have made it a little bit awkard.

I prefer DLP idea of those arcades behind the shops

just heard a rumor that the theater was axed because Disney needed to free up some money as they are looking to replace the Mark VI monorails with Bombardier INNOVIA 300 Series monorails. Makes sense
