Disney Magic witha nearly 2YO
Evening Dibbers!
After having our DD in December we thought a Disney holiday was out of the question for a few years. Alas we are craving one already! We have ruled out Florida due to the long flight so our options are Paris or cruise. Has anyone been on Disney Magic with a child under 2? is there plenty to keep DD occupied for the 11 days or would Paris be a bit more sensible? Thanks |

I have on the Disney magic as well, we had a fantastic time. We did book the nursery for afternoon nap time so we could chill by the adult pool for a couple of hours.
We made use of the open houses and there is a soft play in the promande lounge. Only issue is if you little one is still in nappies they can't use the pools just the splash area, we had no problems with this as my daughter loved the splash area!

We sailed on the EBTA with our 20 month old daughter and there was plenty to keep her occupied.
Kids have to be potty trained to use the pools and the lifeguards are very strict on this matter. The splash zone will keep them entertained for a while though. Every afternoon on our cruise they had supervised playtime in the Promenade Lounge led by one of the nursery staff. Our daughter really enjoyed that. |

We sailed with our then 8 month old wizard (g/son) and even though his dad was determined not to use the nursery, after 3 days of dinners being disturbed, or nap time needed when we'd all planned something, he relented.
Oscar ended up being in the nursery every daytime for 1-2 hours plus 2 hours over dinner. Money well spent ... the nursery is the most amazing place with superb staff. Your child will love it and they even have a Princess go in sometimes for storytime!

I don't have children but will be going on the Magic soon for our first ever cruise. Everything I have read would seem to indicate you'd have a great time.
There are quite a few trip reports on here for DLP with babies/toddlers if you wanted to consider that option too. It can be a reasonably inexpensive holiday as you can go midweek in term time when it's quiet. We are doing both! Three days in DLP, then a train to Barcelona and 7 nights on the Magic. Can't wait!

Thanks Joa.
Got off today from a totally stunning cruise from start to finish. DCL were amazing with Isabella. As a consequence we took a shy toddler onboard, and watched DCL change her before our eyes into a confident little girl. It exceeded our expectations in every way!
