Mobile Norwegian fyjord's cruise

I really want to do a Norwegian fyjord's cruise to also try see the northern lights.

One cruise company that hubby has found have a 12 night cruise and offer a guarantee that if the lights don't come out to play they will give you another 6 night half board cruise free of charge.

We have never cruised before so are really green for what we need to look for when planning and booking a cruise and what things we should make sure are included in the price etc

Can anyone recommend the best company's to look into for their cruises.

We really don't feel comfortable with the high society dressing up dining events and would prefer a more casual chilled out type of cruise.

Many thanks

Following, I've posted a similar question but for a different cruise, I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the options, I've looked at today's newspaper and there are pages and pages of cruise adverts, I don't know where to start really, like you I need a recommendation for a good cruise TA, all the ones I see are US companies and that makes me a little nervous!

Can I ask who this was please?
A Norgwegian fjords cruise is our next one to book!

As for cruising, we are quite new to it having been on one cruise but having booked 2 more already and we don't do all the dressing up malarkey captain's table type things.
We cruised the Caribbean earlier this year with MSC and it was quite okay not to participate if it wasn't your thing

There are a few cruise search sites you could look at, who deal with all/lots of cruise lines, if you see one you like you could then look on the cruise company's own site for more in depth info -

try these...

Cruise365
Vacations to go
Iglu cruises
Seascanner
Cruise Critic (This is also a good cruise forum where we got loads of info before our first cruise! )

Good luck, and happy sailing!
We loved it - but unfortunately it has turned into another expensive holiday addiction!
As mentioned we liked it so much we already have an all inclusive cruise around all the Canary Islands/Madeira booked and then one to Singapore, Thailand, India and Dubai - fjords cruise next up to book!

Cruises - Caribbean x7, Canaries, Far East/India/Dubai, Mexico, Mediterranean x4, Greek Islands, Toyo, HK, Singapore
Other USA Many other states... but still more to see!

They tend to be smaller boats, but come highly recommended. My parents nearly booked with them, before deciding not to cruise at all!

We did a Norwegian fjord cruise on Norwegian Jade in June this year sailing from Southampton and enjoyed it very much with spectacular scenery.
This was our 4th cruise on NCL and we like it because it is casual, no formal nights, it was our second time on the Jade but it had a 3 week dry-dock earlier this year and was very different in terms of the decor.
I have looked at prices for 2018 and it is much more expensive this year compared to what we paid.

Yes, the Norwegian cruise prices have jumped up because they now include all - inclusive drinks and also include tips in the price. Makes a difference when browsing!
