Hi guys, just got home ten minutes ago. Shattered but full of fabulous memories. Never a holiday with a toddler!

Travel Republic have issued a refund today for the initial refund and asked for a receipt to settle the rest so happy that they have sorted it out fairly quickly.

No idea what went wrong, they implied it was "the accommodation provider" who was issuing the refund so assume that means Disney was at fault but who knows.

Glad it's all had a happy ending, and I hoped you get the rest of your refund sorted out asap.

Can I just ask who your travel provider was? I've booked with travel republic for next year, just hotel for a week in Spain and now I'm worried. We have used them before no problems. Ours is booked with YALAGO. Never heard of them. Thanks.

I've booked for one of the Rosen hotels via travel republic this year, it was a significant price saving! A while ago I emailed Rosen direct to both confirm the booking and to request a certain room, which they responded to. I think I'd always do that when booking with a third party and a stay of this length/importance - as hopefully it means I'll have no issues when I get there!

Think I'll do this too, as we are staying one night in the Cheyenne booked with travel republic before moving on to the SL (booked with Disney)

I would always contact the hotel to confirm they have the booking. I contacted a hotel once, they had my booking but it was only showing for 1 night instead of 14. It was sorted within a few hours but it would have been very stressful if I had been told this at check-in.

I contacted adagio val d Europe as that's where we are staying in November and they have our booking. Our booking is provided by travelscape LLC but next year for Spain it's yalago. I am going to email the hotel to make sure they have our booking.

Never crossed my mind to check when I had receipts but hey you live and learn.

Still waiting on my refund. Travel republic said they would send a cheque but that was over a week ago

To be honest this is the first time I've emailed the hotel too. Usually I just turn up and no problems! I have just found out after research that travel republic, netflights, travelbag, gold medal, emirates all come under danta travel services so basically all owned by the same company. Yalago is also the same company so I'm a bit happier now lol. I will still email my hotel for Spain next year as don't want any nasty surprises when I get there!
