Universal Planning

How do you plan your Universal days when the park hours haven't been released and you don't have any clue what days to go/avoid? It's our ADR day next weekend, so need to figure out which days we won't need to book dining plans for.

No need to make plans for Universal if its off peak as you should be able to do all park attractions in one day. Start early in Studios and then take the Harry Potter train to Isles of Adventure. Do the wet rides last as you will get very, very wet!

If its going to be busy, buy express passes or stay at one of the hotels that offers this as a perk.

Have fun

Sorry I've just re-read my post, we've been before so know what to do when we are there. I more meant how do you know what days are best to go to Universal/IOA?

I would look at your dates this year on the historic busy day guide pages. It's how most crowd predictors work anyway.

Going by your countdown you'll be there end of February. I looked at a few days randomly and the crowds were rarely above a 3 even on weekends at Universal so I don't think you'll have to worry too much about specific days to avoid.

Apart from avoiding US and IOA at the weekends any weekday is going to be a lot quieter during off peak. During October we'll be doing US on Tuesday and IOA on a Thursday.

Busy day guide from previous periods to see when you are going usually works as a predictor. We tend to do Universal and get it out of the ay at the beginning of the holiday so we can enjoy what in my opinion is the more enjoyable Disney parks.

Always keep your plan flexible, you have to allow for the weather anyway.
