BA/Avis Flydrive as a one way rental ?

I am thinking about a road trip for our next visit.

I priced up a flydrive on BA flying into Raleigh / Durham and back from Miami .

I couldn't see any reference to any extra charges for a one way on my dummy booking and the price of the car didn't seem overly inflated.

Has anyone done this before. Normally on one way car hire I would expect to pay a fee on drop off.

It will be in the small print. All companies charge a one way fee for that pick up/drop off.

Also I think you often pay the one way fee at the counter, so it might not be detailed in the up front rental fee but as Tom says it will be in the small print!

Sorry to disagree here on some of the comments. I've done a few one way rentals and have never had to pay extra. Most say no one-way fee in Florida although they do in others. I was not charged with AVIS via BA.

Of course just reread the thread and it does say out of state one way so their probably will be a charge.

AVIS FAQ Says Avis offers convenient one-way rentals at attractive rates. Pick up a car at one location and return it to another. Car type and availability vary by participating locations, and a drop-off charge may apply on certain rates.

So it depends on the deal BA has so maybe OK.

The only States I know of where there are no one way drop off fees are California, Arizona and Nevada. Any movement between those is free.
Now there may be others but I don't know of them.

However I have been following Geoffa and his upcoming 2108 Route 66 trip. He has got an awesome deal on car hire with a very minimal one way fee via a travel broker. I will find out who he is using.

We too are doing a trip across states - starting in Montana and finishing in California. Did you find out who Geoffa used?

This is the Company Geoff used. He is fine with me posting the E Mail address. Worth a shot as it saved Geoff over £1000!

I have looked at this Guys website. Seems very professional.
