Something for UK buyers to consider- if they buy with the thought they may one day sell on.
Cheers
Yes, we did use an agent to get our IRS numbers and claim the tax back. We could have done it ourselves saving the fee but it would have taken a lot longer than the eight weeks with agent.

The resale agents we used encouraged us to reclaim the tax back.

Did you sell up entirely or do you keep some contracts?

Ah- you own big then. BLT standard view- most difficult to get on property save for VGF studio, AKV value and concierge. Its the only one I struggle to get a 1 bed for a full week for, so i'll have to probably go Lake View when I stay there. I very nearly bought BLT myself.

Thank you to everyone for all the extremely helpful advice.

I think we now realise that we need to cancel and spend more time looking at the various options. I like the idea of buying more points at SSR - we haven't visited that resort but it looks very nice. Would be good to have a one bed if we could afford it - and location looks good for dining at Disney Springs or off property. I will look at the 7 month availability charts - we will generally want to go in August (any time) so from what I can see there will be reasonable chance of us being able to book a one bedroom at other properties in future in case we wanted variety 😀Will be emailling Disney this afternoon to cancel and scouring resale websites for next few months! Thanks again for v helpful advice from all.

Never stayed standard view, no accessible studios.

Sorry OP for derailing your thread. Have fun looking for your resale contract.

Sorry - another question.

Now I'm looking at resale I see that some sites encourage you to 'make an offer' and let you submit a $ price per point. Is it ok to offer a reduced price or do sellers generally expect the full asking price? I don't want to waste anyone's time making offers if they aren't likely to be accepted.

Thank you

Definitely make an offer. I don't think anyone pays the asking price.
