Please help, confused !

Okay so despite going to Disney and staying onsite more times than I care to add up, I really have zero clue when it comes to DVC points. So please someone point me/help me in the right direction.

I would like to stay in a two bed villa (beach club/boardwalk) next November for 4 nights.

Where do I start and approximate cost?

Hi Tinkermom. Beach club will be 152 points, Boardwalk will be 131 for a standard view (which are hard to get) or 156 for a pool/garden view (boardwalk views available too at the same rate, but also hard to get. A DVC member that owns at the resort you want to book will be able to do this from December (around the 4th). You can either request points on the point request page, or use an agent like Dave's vacation club.

Cost wise, Dave's has a calculator to give you a cost (I have used them both as a renter and to rent out my points). Members here set there own prices, usually around £10 a point.

Just to add BC and Boardwalk book up quickly in November due to the food and wine festival, you need to get in quick. Dvc stays don't have the same 'quiet' seasons as cash bookings, due to the low points needed and the F&W etc. Off peak is harder to get then peak summer for example.

You can rent points on the DVC sub forum 'Rent DVC points'. There you put up your request and wait until you get a response. It can be hit and miss, depending on availability.
