Look no further than the Royalton Cancun Riviera, stayed there recently for a fortnight and would highly recommend, it's only a 20 minute transfer which is a plus. Plenty of onsite restaurants, including - Mediterranean, Italian, Chinese, Mexican, Tex-mex, Caribbean, I can't remember the others! 6 or7? pools with a dedicated kids pool with slides etc.private beach, Adult only section, numerous bars serving top branded drinks. Dreams Tulum is beautiful and not too packed. Never had a problem getting a sun lounger, food etc.
Its a further transfer but so worth it as the beach is beautiful, nothing else in sight!

We stayed at Moon Palace for 10 nights last summer and then 5 nights at Hard Rock Cancun both great hotels, but this year we stayed at Grand Palladium Kantenah and loved it, the beach is absolutely stunning and its set in the Mangroves with loads of wild life.

Only downside is its just under an hour from the airport but that hasn't put us off looking to go back next summer.

Oh yes, hard rock is lovely as well. Bit noisier though as have battle of the bands and foam parties. Really good fun though and not too riotous as we had the kids as well!
