I really need to get some sleep but I don't want to turn off the CNN livestream... I don't want to wake up in the morning and find out that things got worse, not that me staying up staring at a screen is going to change anything
They showed footage of Orlando a min ago and it looked quite wet and windy but let's hope it doesn't get any worse than that. They've just expressed concerns that it looks like the eye could be heading East now towards Orlando Edited at 01:11 AM. |

We are top floor in block 8 of Art of Animation little Mermaid rooms, for he wind is directly hitting our window and our door is rattling. Literally sat here waiting for our door to fly open and then panic mode will kick in.
In a sick way though, I'm enjoying it, I'll never experience this again. I've been out filming live and stuff, but now it's picking up, I'm sensible enough to stay in. Proper getting the brunt of it this side of the building too. |

The eye is between Glades/Hendry at the moment with 105mph winds, Cat 2. Luckily Irma's fair hugging the West coast so hopefully Orlando won't see the devastation we've seen on the West coast. The expectation is Irma will be a Cat 1 as she hits around Tampa area.
The utter devastation NBC2 are showing in Naples/Lee County is awful, plus a lot of flooding, that's afore the surge heads in too. Should pass quite soon for Orlando and hopefully you won't lose power as the majority of SW Fla did/remains to have.
