DDP costs

Cost for next year is just shy of $76/person/night so approx. £10 more than a Uk booking.
As Karen said people were picking & choosing what nights they wanted it for, you can in theory do it still for a split stay, as long has you have 2 booking references but IMO it's not good value.

Dining plan is great when free on a cash deal (and there were some good deals at OKW) but paying for it, especially when your kids are over 10, is a rip off. Basically you have to eat the most expensive thing on the menu, and always get desserts etc to get near to breaking even, or do all character buffets. Call me old fashioned, but I expect a hefty discount for agreeing to pre pay and spend all my dollars there- not paying top dollar and being hit with a mandatory 18% tip.
Given the price of food, and the DVC kitchen I buy in some supplies and we always have breakfast in the villa. May also get a pizza in from Walmart etc and have that first night. Then eat more counter service, there are some good ones, and maybe 3 table service a week.
For 4 of us I'll save around 500 a week over dining plan.
