We have managed to get FOP fastpasses 2 times last week to use ghat week, we even managed to get a fastpass to use 1 hour beforehand which envolved a quick trip from MK to AK.. So don't give up hope and keep checking.

Hope dental work goes well!

The 10.38 trick only works on the day in the states ... basically at 10.38 local time it would appear Disney add additional fast passes for that day ... so on the day we are at AK we are going to try and get one this way! Good luck!

This new FP system seems to drive huge standby Q's thus meaning if you don't get a FP you don't get to ride :-(

I will be trying the 10.38am trick when I am over there I guess!
The only way to get a paper FP for the really popular rides was to get to park at rope drop and then you had no choice over what time slot you got

I sorry if I'm being stupid but how does the new system keep you in the park longer. With the new system, in theory, you only need to be in the park at the times of your FP+ ride, extra FPs can be booked from anywhere via the app.
Under the old system you had to be in the park to keep getting your paper tickets so I would have thought that'd keep you in the park longer. Sorry if I'm missing something

It's actually designed to keep you out of the queues. That way, you can spend longer looking around the shops or eating/drinking in the restaurants.
