Avatar: Flight of Passage Vs Naavi River Journey

We did the River Journey once last month, and FOP twice.

To say the difference between these two attractions is like "night and day" is an understatement.

After our first ride on FOP, we were like "wow, that was fantastic!"

After we came off the River Journey and saw a very long queue to get on it, we thought "if we queued up that long we'd be so disappointed with it".

Luckily we'd had Fast Passes, so didn't wait too long.

Totally agree, if I never went on Naavi River again it would be too soon, soooo disappointed in it and feel it could have been so much better.

was expecting at least a drop in navi river, very lame & not really worth the huge current waits...

bearing in mind the time they & expertise they have these days its not upto much

Isn't the river journey meant to be a ride the whole family can experience though? They need something for those that can't do FoP. I thought it was very pretty but I agree not comparable to FoP. I'm not sure anyone is comparing them though?

I like likened it to a glorified Small World, only a bit more colourful. It was pleasant enough, but I wanted a small drop at least to make it a bit more memorable. I'd only queue 15 mins max for it.

We were lucky to get a 45 minute standby 2 days after the hurricane and was on FOP within 40 minutes for our first time. Wow with a capital WOW was my view and my wife's was Best Ride Ever! 2 FPs to go this week so something to look forward to.

Parks still very quiet though.

Yeh I wouldn't queue for the river journey. My sister asked me if I wanted to get another fast pass for it but I said no it's like it's a small world without the song. At least you can sing a long on it's a small world

We thought the river journey was very cleverly done with all the projections etc. I agree it's not worth standing in a long line for but is one to add to the list for a sit down and relax when a bit tired 😀. I didn't do FOP as get claustrophobic so I appreciated having something else to do there.

We've decided FOP will be to intense for our 4/5 year old so I've booked fp's for River journey with him instead while others do fop, made sense and he won't have fop to compare it to so hopefully will be a bit impressed 😀

I think the funniest summary of Na'avi River as : " it's so boring, boring - it makes Small World look like a Frat Party "
