Thats great news .

I was shocked when trying to get insurance for my dad. A lot would not touch him as he is 70. Its wrong really as he is a very healthy 70 year old. It was much harder than trying to get for Beth

[QUOTE=loadsapixiedust;2891729]People often ask where to look for travel insurance when you or one of your family has a medical condition or special needs. I thought it would be a good idea to have all our suggestions together in one thread for easy reference when shopping around.

Can you please post the name of the insurer with a weblink if possible, the premium you paid, how many people are covered and whether it is a single trip or annual policy.

If you feel able it would be helpful to others to know what sort of medical conditions are covered but I appreciate people may not want to disclose this information on a public forum.

I'll start

Have you ever looked at getting a Lloyds TSB platinum account, or enquiry at your own bank about. It's a monthly fee around £17, but you get RAC cover, 2 mobile phones insurance and travel insurance. I have a daughter who is diabetic type 1 and a son with ASD and ADHD both of which are covered.

You could always enquire.

Hi, I am finding it very hard to get travel insurance for my 11 year old grandson Cormac, he has an unknown syndrome, (no name for his condition as yet) and because of this the insurance company's I have tried will not cover him. Cormac has lots of disabilities which include being in a wheelchair. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
