The Fantastic at 50 LV and Disneyland trip
Never done at trippie before but thought i would at least have a go at a pre trippie- hope i dont bore you all!
So the cast which is quite a mixture of people popping in and out- Myself Alison 48 ( part time district nurse and full time vacation planner) DH Craig for whos 50th this trip was booked! ( any excuse) Lisa-a great friend who we met via a fb group for the disney fantasy. Only really got to know her after the cruise via a great app called voxer. She lives in Chicago and flies in to vegas a couple of hours after us. Dodie and Eric from Florida-we where table mates on our first DCL cruise and have travelled with them many times since that first trip. The idea for this trip origionated from them for their 20 year wedding anniversary. Daryll and Leeia from canada-also tablemates from our first cruise. They are younger than us and from china and the lovliest couple ever. We even all went on a disney cruise with them for their honeymoon. Sadly we only get one night with them bore they fly back to LA to visit relatives but we take what we can get! Mike and Brenda-these are Lisas brother and sister in law who we havent actually met but have got to know via the internet. They will spend five days in vegas with us before flying home. They live between NY and Chicago. My brother Terry and his wife Anne. They fly out while we are in disney but will be in Vegas once we get back. So i think thats us all so far. The night before we fly with be spent at the premier inn north and we have booked the meet and greet for parking. We may do the night before bag drop if im organised enough but not sure yet. Our plans so far are we fly out 6th october on TC flight from manchester to LV. We are treating ourselves to PE since its my husbands fiftieth. ( ive managed to use that as an excuse for allsorts lol) our first 7 nights are spent at the Linq hotel which looks to be in a good position on the strip. Lisa booked this for us via Total rewards and i think its only costing around $600 for 7 nights. The next three nights will be spent at disneys grand californian resort. We booked a two bed apartment using our DVC points and i think we where very lucky to get this as we dont own there and its only a small dvc part to the hotel. We are hiring a 7 seater and plan to drive to disney. Lisa as also booked the hire car so im not sure of the cost but as there is 5 of us going to disney we will just split it 5 ways. We are planning to do MNSSHP one of our nights and have our tickets. We also plan to buy a 3 day hopper but Eric is getting these for us as he is Ex military. I believe the cost is $130'pp- cant complain at that! After Disney we are driving back to LV for two nights stopping at the Golden Nuggett on freemont st.my brother and his wife will be there when we get back and i am excited for our american friends to meet them. Things we plan to do in LV other than shopping, eating and drinking include- Donny and Marie ( tickets bought) beatles cirque, freemont zipline, stratophere rides, hotel hopping, possibly grand canyon ( still thinking about that one) and just lots of socialising with our friends. We fly home sunday after twelve nights total and back to work tuesday I will try to do a trippie or at least regular updates for anyone who is interested. Thats all for so back to the packing. |
