DDP changes 2019

Hi all,

Just wanted to let everyone know of some changes to DDP for 2019.

It was my ADR day today so had all the restaurants i wanted to book all ready to go at 11.00.

Got all the bookings i wanted without any issues, however when looking at my confirmation emails it appears T-Rex & Rainforest Cafe are no longer included on the DDP for next year

Now i am left with a dilemma, do i pay OOP or cancel & book something else

My DS has his heart set on T-Rex for his birthday meal so will prob keep that, may use the gift card for it

But as a word of warning, please check the restaurants before booking to make sure they are included on 2019 DDP.

It’s too early for the 2019 DDP list to be confirmed. It’s usually the end of the year. I would just go by the 2018 list. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a restaurant being removed from the list.

As sha said, the none Disney restaurants are never confirmed this early. They will be on the list come January time and you will definitely be able to use ddp there

Yes, as this happens every year. 4 out of our 5 trips have been early in the year so we've had to book were before all restaurants we're confirmed. Every time they've renewed the contract and it's all been fine. Third party restaurants always take a lot longer to appear, but they'd lose a lot of business if they suddenly stopped taking the ddp.

You might be able to book a table if you go directly to their web sites and not the Disney site xx

I've mentioned it before, it's puzzling to me why Disney release the Dining Plan details early knowing full well that it will all be out of date come November when the non-Disney restaurants sign up.
If they were to come off the list, then it would be the first restaurants that I'm aware of that have ever.
