Kona Café or The Wave
Help me out Dibbers.
We want a lunch near MK and can't choose between Kona Café or The Wave. Not eaten at either of these before. Which would you choose for lunch? |

Have eaten in both before, for me The Wave felt more formal than Kona Cafe. Both had a good menu
I would choose Kona Cafe for lunchtime visit from MK, generally preferred the feel and loved the menu more. For me the Polynesian resort is one of the nicest resorts to visit and you can grab a dole whip for the wait to get the boat back to MK.

I have not been to the Wave, although I would like to as it gets excellent reviews.
We went to Kona Cafe last year and left very unimpressed with both food and ambience. I had been really looking forward to it too. The Poly is a bear market, it is so busy and rowdy and this spills over into the restaurants, awful place. The food sounded interesting on the menu, but came our really boring and bland. I note two completely opposite opinions so far which might not help much. |

We've loved Kona for breakfast, but we're very underwhelmed with our lunch there last time. This time we are trying the wave, looks good but never been there so can't comment yet

We have been to both but for dinner and I believe the menu is the same. Food was good in both but the seating in Kona is far too close together. Yes we are a couple but I was closer to the lady on the next table than I was to my husband😱 We wouldn't visit again purely because of the seating.

Eaten at the wave for lunch and breakfast, both times was excellent in terms of service and food, only drawback is that there is no windows so it can seem like your in a basement room, but in no way would it stop me from going back

Thanks for all the feedback. We've gone with The Wave as we like their veggie options too!
