Travel insurance very expensive.
So just looking at insurance for this years trip. Pervious years paid about £150 for a family of 4. I have 2 declared conditions, Ulcerative colitis which is mainly controlled through meds, no hospital admissions in last couple of years outside of routine colonoscopy's. The other is a Bicuspid heart valve which was diagnosed about 10 years ago but is something I have apparently had from birth. Never caused me any issues, I just have to have ECG and scans every couple of years to keep a check on it but last round of check ups were all good.
I just did some quotes inputting the same information and I'm getting £400 plus. Its baffled me a bit but the only other piece of relevant information is I turned 50 last year. My question is, is holiday insurance going through massive prices increases vs prior years or do you hit a premium once you hit 50?
