Eating Offsite
Hi all,
We go to Florida in May but have just booked a return time for Feb 2019. therefore we need to be careful with our food budget in May. Do you think 2 adults can eat offsite for $65 a day? We have only eaten offsite twice before so unsure if this is possible Thanks in advance Lucyx x |

It depends on your appetites. We are two 70+ year olds and usually get by with a good hearty breakfast out, light snack lunch in the villa and dinner out.
Breakfast for two at the likes of Bob Evans, Cracker Barrel, iHOP is around $25 for two. Dinner (just the entrée and sides) at Longhorn, Texas, Red Lobster, Carrabba's etc. about $55 for two. Drop dinner down to Cracker Barrel and $30 for two. Save even more at some burger places. Mick

I think as long as you don't want to eat at some of the more expensive restaurants you should just about manage it

We are here at the moment. We have been having breakfast in the villa, getting a snack during the morning in the parks then having a main meal mid afternoon. So far we have been to Chilis, where they do 2 main and an appetiser for $22, and Olive Garden where between 3 and 5 Monday to Thursday they do early dinner duos - unlimited salad and breadsticks plus one of 10 mains for $8.99.

Our budget is always $100 per day for 2 adults (whether it's onsite or off!) and we rarely hit that unless we're eating at one of the more expensive Disney restaurants - having said that, we like the steak in Longhorns and Outback so dont really have expensive taste haha!
Millers, Longhorns, Denny's etc are all so cheap, you'll be just fine with that budget...I would say eat breakfast in your room rather than eating out. Will you have a car? x |
