Mobile 3 night break UK or abroad - where could we go?

Looking for 3 nights away just the 2 of us for our 15 year anniversary. Not sure whether to go abroad or stay in the UK so looking for ideas or recommendations. I'd quite like a bit of sun for a few days so had been looking at Spain (not balearics) or possibly Canaries. We don't do posh but also don't like anwhere too big or busy. Some of the reviews we've seen for how busy some hotels get and what the food is like are poor so would like some suggestions. We've been to Center Parcs in the UK and like it so that's a possibility but that's one of the only holidays we've had other than Alton Towers since our Florida addiction started. DH has suggested Port Aventura although I'm not sure what our daughter will think about us going there without her.

Barcelona or Valencia? Both have lots going for them.

Vienna, Paris, Venice, Rome, Milan, Copenhagen, Madrid, Barcelona, Salzburg, Edinburgh, London..

There are literally hundreds of great places to go for a long weekend.

To be honest our choice would be Madrid, Rome or Vienna

The only place in the uk where they routinely install windscreen wipers on the houses as it rains so much

The canaries would be my choice, cheap flights, sunshine and pool wins every time.

We were saying we fancy going back to Grenada. It's a beautiful city but not too busy, you'd get nice weather.

Cornwall is gorgeous if the weather is nice, Padstow has some lovely restaurants, you can get a lovely cottage in the centre of the town. Cotswolds and North Norfolk coast are also pretty and have got lots of nice cafes and restaurants.

In the UK I would choose Cornwall or Pembrokeshire but it would need to be summertime for beach weather. The Cotswolds is lovely too, with pretty villages and good pubs and restaurants.

Venice is a great place for a short break. Likewise Rome or Paris, Barcelona or Madrid. If you want a beach break, maybe the Algarve in Portugal, Roquetes de Mar in Costa Almeria or Sicily would be a change from the more usual choices.
